Fathers Day card.

Good morning everyone, had a day making a card yesterday! after house work..

Do not like making any men`s cards..seem to take forever and still do not like what I have made lol.

6"x^.1/2" card size. Grey & Black.

I have used Memory Box  "Workshop Frame" cut in silver mirri card & grey card, used a black pro marker on tools I thought had handles, My late Dad would have loved this! he always was fixing things, really miss getting on the phone for help.
Ever had a stamp! think you know where it is!!! I wanted to use this Happy Fathers day and Mr Fix It old stamps in my stash, took a couple of hours to find them.. not the place I thought I had put them..what a day.

I have infilled with the grey card.
Topper layered onto black.

How I coloured in an embossing folder..

I have used cream card so you can see it in the folder.
Using a brayer and Tim Holtz "New Oxide ink" Iced Spruce.. ink your roller, by running over the ink pad..I inked debossed side of the folder ..If you feel the pattern in your folder you want the DEBOSSED side! you finger will go into the pattern (hope you understand).. put your card piece in the folder, run through your die cutting machine. so you`ll have Cream raised pattern and a coloured background..

Finished with a couple brads and charm.

Items used..
Memory Box.. Workshop frame.  here
Distress ink..Iced Spruce.             phone 01634 686823
Amy Design.. "It`s A Man`s World" embossing folder.
Stamps from Stash..
brads & charm

  10. This is a wonderful Father's Day card, or for any guy. The colors are tool colors and the die cuts are so real looking. I love that embossing folder and how you colored it. Guy cards are hard, no bling, no ribbon, no sequins, no flowers - what a bummer they are!

  27. What a fantastic card for "Mr Fix It". However you could easily change the colors and it would be perfect for "Ms. Fix It". Just love the embossing folder as well. You have tied everything together perfectly.

  29. Ohhhh, the dreaded guy card! I really like the frame and the sentiments and the embossed panel. I could definitely use those elements for my hubby, but how many times? He's always tinkering around the house. I've tried that brayering of the embossing folder several times, exactly the way you explained it, and mine never turns out this good. You have such good ink coverage and I never get that. I've tried different inks, too. Can you feel my pain? Fabulous card, Pam!

  31. Oh this is handsome. (and yes indeedy, I'm always hunting for a stamp - or tool - that I know is somewhere!) Love the look of this one, the tools going round the double frame look really nifty. I hope the Dad who is lucky enough to get this special card, is a handy man! You did a great job creating with these dies! TFS (and thanks for the embossing tip...aren't these oxide inks lovely to work with?!) Hugs
